School History

The Parish of the Resurrection, Keysborough was founded in January 1974 from the neighbouring parishes of St Mary’s, Dandenong; St Anthony’s, Noble Park; and St Joseph’s, Springvale.

As part of the parish, Resurrection School commenced in February 1976 with 65 children and three staff.  Currently, we have over 400 students enrolled from Prep to Year 6 with more than 50 dedicated staff.  The school’s 20 classes have the following structure:  three Prep classes; three Year 1 classes; three Year 2 classes; two Year 3 classes; three Year 4 classes, three Year 5 classes and three 6 classes.

The ethnic composition of the students at Resurrection School is diverse.  English is not the main language spoken by many of our families with a diverse range of languages spoken, including Vietnamese, Cantonese, Khmer, Singhalese and Spanish.  The multicultural character of the school and parish brings diversity and enrichment to the community.
